How To Choose The Best Nude Lipstick For Your Skin Tone



Hi, Nude Lipstick shades are ideal for everyday use. They gives an elegant and classic look to you,  irrespective of the season / occasion. They are the best choices for every make-up look; whether it is a dramatic eye makeup or no-makeup look. But it is a little bit tricky to select the best nude shade that matches you, since different nude shades looks differently on different skin tones. It needs a little more care in selecting the perfect nude shade, otherwise it will give you a pale and washed-out look.

Things to Take care On Selecting the Shade:

  • While choosing the perfect nude lip shade, you should consider your skin complexion and undertone.
  • If you have pigmented lips, try a shade that neutralize your lips.
  • On wearing a nude lipstick without any make up on your face, consider those shades which are closest to your lip color.
  • If you are wearing some face makeup, you can select a neutral shade which is 1 shade lighter/ darker to your skin  tone.

To find your skin undertone:
Check the veins of your wrist: if they appear green you have a warm undertone. If they are blue, you are cool-toned. If you find a difficulty in determining the color of your veins, you have a neutral undertone.

Fair Complexion

For those who have fair complexion, go for medium shades like corals, mocha and peach, they look fantastic on you. It is better for you to select matte finish lip shades with a tint of pink undertone in it. Avoid the colors with yellow/orange undertone that gives you a pale, washed-out look. Also avoid dark and bright shades.

Warm undertone: Peach and coral shades looks fantastic on you. You can also try for a brown / toffee shade.
