Hi, Lip exfoliating balms are very familiar to all of us. A wide variety of them are available in different forms, flavors and packaging. Revlon launched a new sugar scrub lip balm, Revlon Kiss Exfoliating Balm, recently. Lets have a look....

What They Describe:

How to apply:

Gently massage in small circles and finish with your favorite lip color.

Ingredients:

Polybutene, Petrolatum, Sucrose, Triisostearyl Citrate, Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate, Paraffin, Ozokerite, Mica, Silica, Diisopropyl Dimer Dilinoleate, Polyethylene, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Seed Oil, Punica Granatum Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax (Cire D Abeille)), Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Octyldodecanol, BHT, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Flavor, Sodium Saccharin, Limonen, Benzoic Acid, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).

Packaging:

It is a twist-up stick with a transparent cap. It has the same size as Revlon Kiss Balms.

Texture:

It is like a clear or transparent lip balm with very tiny sugar granules. The applicator glides easily on lips making the application easy and mess free. The texture is light and will not make any mess.

My Experience:

It is very convenient to apply the lip scrub and leave it there without any wipe off. The sugar granules are so tiny that it will not make a feeling of rubbing on lips and will not irritate lips. This balm not only acts as a lip exfoliator but also a lip balm. It will not leave any color on lips. On the other hand, if you have a really dry-flaky lips, it wont work pretty well. In that case you have to go for a traditional wipe off scrub for a more smoother lips. Or you can use the Revlon Kiss Exfoliating balm like a wipe off exfoliator. It has a nice mint smell and flavor. As per my experience, the main thing for this exfoliator balm is the convenience of use.

Cons:

  • Not long lasting if used alone
  • Do not work well on really flaky lips
